পদান্বয়ী অব্যয় পদ - Preposition in Bengali

Preposition-এর অর্থ হল Pre-পূর্বে, Position অবস্থান। অর্থাৎ যে পদ Noun বা Pronoun-এর পূর্বে বসে ওই Noun বা Pronoun কে Sentence এর সাথে যুক্ত করে ও সম্বন্ধ বুঝিয়ে দেয় সেই পদকে Preposition বা পদান্বয়ী অব্যয় পদ বলে।

"A Preposition is a word placed before a noun or Pronoun to show the relation of that noun or Pronoun to some other word or words in a sentence.''

A Proposition is a word placed before a noun or a pronoun to indicate place direction source.method etc.

পদান্বয়ী অব্যয় হল একটি শব্দ যা স্থান, দিক, উৎস, পদ্ধতি ইত্যাদি নির্দেশ করতে কোনো Noun বা Pronoun এর পূর্বে বসে। যেমন -

A. Preposition গুলি Noun-এর পূর্বে বসেছে :

1. Swastik lives in Howrah. - স্বস্তিক হাওড়ায় বাস করে।
2. Ramen came after Rabi. - রমেন এসেছিল রবির পরে।
3. Animesh came to Nadia from Malda. - অনিমেষ মালদা থেকে নদীয়ায় এল।
4. She sat near Rekha – সে রেখার পাশে বসেছিল। 

উপরের বাক্যগুলিতে in, after, to, from, near প্রভৃতি Preposition গুলি Howrah, Rabi, Nadia,

Malda, Rekha প্রভৃতি Noun -এর পূর্বে বসেছে

B. preposition গুলি pronoun- এর পূর্বে বসেছে

1. Look at her. — তার দিকে তাকাও।
2. You stood beside us. - তুমি আমাদের পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছিলে।
3. Niva sat near me. - নীভা আমার পাশে বসেছিল।
4. Rabin came after you. - রবীন তোমার পরে এসেছিল।

উপরে at, beside, near, after এই Preposition গুলি যথাক্রমে her, us, me, you Pronoun-এর পূর্বে

বসেছে।

• The house is by the side of the road.-বাড়িটি হয় রাস্তার পাশে।
• The bird was killed by the man. পাখিটি নিহত হয়েছিল লোকটির দ্বারা।

In - মধ্যে বা ভিতরে

• The boys are swimming in the pond. বালকেরা পুকুরে সাঁতার কাটছে।
• I went to Delhi in the year 2008. আমি দিল্লি গিয়েছিলাম ২০০৮ সালে।
• I shall go to Chennai in December 2009. আমি ডিসেম্বর ২০০৯-তে চেন্নাই যাব।
• Shyamal went to Bangalore in Summer. শ্যামল গ্রীষ্মকালে ব্যাঙ্গালোর গিয়েছিল।
• He will come here in the evening. সে এখানে সন্ধ্যায় আসবে।

On - উপরে

{কোন নির্দিষ্ট দিনের পূর্বে}

{কোন কিছুর উপরে বোঝালে}

• Gandhiji was born on 2nd October. গান্ধিজি ২রা অক্টোবর জন্মেছিলেন।
• Ramen will go on Monday. রমেন সোমবার যাবে।
• The book is on the table. বইটি টেবিলের উপরে।
• A snake is going on the road. সাপটি রাস্তার উপর দিয়ে যাচ্ছে।

At - তে, প্রতি

{গ্রাম, ছোটোশহর, ছোটো স্থান বোঝালে at বসে}
{সময় বোঝালে at বসে}

• Praneet lives at Bamanagar. প্রণীত বামানগরে বাস করে।
• Lekha rises at dawn. লেখা ভোরবেলা জেগে ওঠে।
• He likes to stay at Malda.. সে মালদায় থাকতে পছন্দ করে।
• Sunita has passed the Madhyamik Parikha at the age of fourteen. সুনীতা চৌদ্দ বছর বয়সে মাধ্যমিক পাশ করেছে।

Of - সম্বন্ধে

{তৈরি হওয়ার উৎস (made of gold, made of silver) সম্বদ্ধ বোঝাতে}

{রোগ নির্দেশিত হলে,}

• The chair is made of wood. চেয়ারটি কাঠ দ্বারা প্রস্তুত।
• Sweta knows nothing of the story. শ্বেতা গল্পটি সম্বন্ধে কিছুই জানেনা। 
• Nilesh teaches every thing of the matter. নীলেশ শিক্ষা দেয় বিষয়বস্তুর সবকিছু।
• Rathin died of Cholera. রথীন কলেরায় মারা গিয়েছিল।

Into - ভিতরে যাওয়া বাহির থেকে

{বাহির হইতে ভিতরে প্রবেশ করা বোঝালে into হয়।} {অবস্থার পরিবর্তন বোঝলে into হয়}

• The snake entered into the hole. সাপটি গর্তের ভিতর প্রবেশ করেছিল 
• The players are going into the field. খেলোয়াড়রা মাঠে যাচ্ছেন।
• Sugar has changed into sweets. চিনি মিষ্টিতে পরিবর্তিত হয়েছে।

From - হইতে, থেকে

{কোনো স্থান থেকে বিচ্যুত from হয়।}

{রোগ ভোগার অর্থে from হয়}

• The Coconut fell from the tree. নারকেলটি গাছ থেকে পড়ল।
• Hirak has been suffering from malaria. হীরক বহুদিন ধরে ম্যালেরিয়ায় ভুগছে।
• The mango has fallen from the tree. গাছটি থেকে আমটি পড়ছে।

With – সহিত বোঝাতে

{কাহারও সঙ্গে বোঝালে with হয়}

{কোন জিনিস দ্বারা বোঝালে with হয়}

• I went to Digha with my mother. আমি মায়ের সঙ্গে দীঘা গিয়েছিলাম।
• Punam goes to school with her bag. পুনম তার ব্যাগ নিয়ে বিদ্যালয়ে যায়।
• I killed a mad dog with my stick. আমি লাঠি দ্বারা পাগলা কুকুরকে মেরেছিলাম।

Under - নীচে

• A dog is sleeping under the table. কুকুরটি টেবিলের নীচের ঘুমোচ্ছে।
• A cat is under a tree. বিড়ালটি গাছের নীচে।

Inside - ভিতরে

• There is a car inside the building. বাড়িটির ভিতরে/মধ্যে একটি গাড়ি।

After — পিছনে

• The dog is running after the cat. কুকুরটি বিড়ালটির পিছনে দৌড়াচ্ছে।

Above - উপরে

• The clouds are flying above the sky. আকাশের উপরে উড়ছে।

Between - মধ্যে

• There is a ball among the boys. ছেলেদের মধ্যে একটি বল আছে।
• The Postoffice is between the bank and. library. ব্যাঙ্ক ও লাইব্রেরির মাঝখানে পোস্ট অফিস।
